If you don’t live under a rock, you’ve probably seen Sofia Richie (Grainge)’s ornate, star-studded wedding to Elliot Grainge a few weeks ago; Whether your algorithm has flushed your feed with the editorial-style photos of the event and its firework finale, or your mom has sent photos of the basically royal wedding, asking when you’re next.
If you DO live under a rock, lemme give you a little context. In April 2022, Sofia Richie, a 24-year-old model, and designer, who is also the youngest child of legendary singer Lionel Richie, became engaged to Elliot Grainge, a music executive and founder of 10K Projects, who is the son of Sir Lucian Grainge, chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group (Yes, I said ‘Sir’. Lucian Grainge was literally knighted by the late Queen of England). Apparently, The Richie and the Grainge families have been friends for more than 20 years, as Sophia’s dad frequently collaborates with Elliot’s father. AKA, this was nepo baby matchmaking at the ultimate level.
Honestly, I'm SO happy for Sofia. Remembering her stint of dating the now 39-year-old Kardashian- adjacent spectacle of a human who shall not be named (Scott Disick, if you really don’t speak pop culture), I’m relieved that she married someone hotter, richer, and not gonna lie, younger. These men are groomers okay!

The entire internet is STILL gushing over the wedding weekend: the beautiful backdrop of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France, and of course, Sofia's bridal looks- three custom chanaynay pieces that probably cost more than my 5 years of higher education (that’s bachelor's and a master's degree boo).
Now girlies, don't fight me because I know yall like to tussle… Sofia looked absolutely beautiful, as every bride should look and feel. But I must say, I wish she skimped it up a little. She’s only 24! She does have a more “matured” style, often sporting blazers and maxi dresses on her Instagram feed, instead of short shorts.
But dang, THREE Chanel looks, and we settled on high necks, long sleeves, and a knee-length after party dress? For me, it was giving luxury workwear. I’ll be quiet though. Id be lucky to wear ONE wedding dress.
Anyways, congratulations to the Grainge’s! Im totally following Sofia’s honeymoon content.
