Calling all LAWyers!!
No, not the litigious babes who charge $250/hr to read the fine print, I’m talking about stans of the incomparable LAW ROACH. Our 40-inch jet-black buss down queen! Stylist to the stars, the realest judge on Legendary (HBO Max, we’re coming for you), and an absolute inspiration.
He lives a life of luxury, and is unapologetically himself, but always remains humble. Unlike many celebrity stylists who begin their careers well-connected as interns or assistants, Law Roach is completely, 100% self-built. At only 14 years old, Law was on his own navigating the South Side of Chicago. In an interview with The Cut, he recalls having to return shopping carts outside of grocery stores for the quarter deposits, just to collect enough money to eat.
When Law needed to clothe himself, he turned to thrift stores, and that is where the image architect we know and love, was born. Law eventually opened Deliciously Vintage, a vintage boutique in Chicago that became a common stop for celebrities (like Kanye West) searching for archival designer clothes. One day, a woman who was a client of the store, and serendipitously, good friends with Zendaya Coleman’s dad, walked in letting Law know that the teen star was set to attend Justin Bieber's 'Never Say Never' premiere, but didn't have anything to wear. Law was introduced to Zendaya, and the rest chile, is history.
He went on to style unproblematic faves Céline Dion, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Anne Hathaway, Ariana Grande, Anya Taylor-Joy, Kerry Washington, and recently, Megan Thee Stallion and Hunter Schafer, with Zendaya as his main chick. Between 2021 and 2022, he styled over 30 different magazine covers, in addition to ad campaigns for Valentino and Bulgari. Last June, Law was able to add ‘designer’ to his ever growing resume; collaborating with Hervé Léger for the Resort 2023 collection. Oh and I almost forgot, he ALSO serves as contributing West Coast editor of British Vogue.
How can he lose when he’s already chose?? Like??
During Oscars Week 2023, after Law successfully styled damn near half of the gworlz in attendance, he declared his retirement from styling via social media, stating that he felt underappreciated by people in the fashion industry and some of his clients . The world stopped when he tweeted his retirement. I mean my world stopped. No more iconic carpets? No more fashion week flicks? What would I eat for breakfast??
When Law clarified that he wasn’t leaving fashion completely, I stopped my week-straight sobbing. He came out of the shadows to style Megan Thee Stallion’s Elle Magazine cover and spread, giving us a little something to chew on.
Overall, I just truly respect Law’s hustle and his honesty. From watching him, I’ve learned a few things:
Anyways, here are some of MY favorite Law Roach lewks:

Overall, I just truly respect Law’s hustle and his honesty. From watching him, I’ve learned a few things:
- I shouldn’t be worked to the bone for success.
- ALWAYS go where Im loved and appreciated.
- Never give up. Cliche, but true.
- You can never go wrong with a middle part.
Anyways, here are some of MY favorite Law Roach lewks:
